Aston Martin and Red Bull collaborate to produce special Vantage S models

Aston Martin has joined forces with Formula 1 team Red Bull to create special edition V8 and V12 Vantage S models inspired by the racing cars.

The British brand has been strongly linked with Red Bull Racing since March 2016, when the two companies began work on the AM-RB 001 hypercar.

There are no performance upgrades included with the Vantage S models, but the aesthetics have been tweaked by Aston Martin’s personalisation service, ‘Q by Aston Martin’, to pay homage to the Red Bull Racing team colours.

The bodywork is painted in the Mariana Blue colour, while the brake callipers have been painted yellow and the grille and side strakes feature red accents.

Carbon fibre also features heavily, with the grille surround, side strakes and front splitter all using the race-bred material.

Inside, the seats are upholstered in diamond-quilted leather and the steering wheel is wrapped in Alcantara.

Aston Martin president and CEO Andy Palmer said: “Motorsport is and will always be a key part of Aston Martin’s DNA and both the V8 and V12 Vantage S Red Bull Racing Editions bring that ethos straight to our customers.”

The new V8 and V12 Vantage S Red Bull Racing Editions are expected to begin in the second quarter of 2017.
