Aston Martin celebrates its history with short film

To celebrate Aston Martin’s heritage, the luxury automaker has created a film containing 28 of its most iconic cars.

From the world famous DB5 and DBR1 racing car to the current day Vulcan and limited edition One-77, £65 million worth of cars help celebrate the brands fascinating 104 year history.

The video shows British humour too, staring Aston Martins chief engineer Matt Becker and Aston Martin Racing’s World Endurance Championship (WEC) drivers, Darren Turner and Nicki Thiim.

All of them appear to sneak past a sleeping security guard and inside the new Aston Martin site based in St Athen, Wales where they discover all of the historical line of cars and decide to race them round several different warehouses located on the former MOD site - signaling the start of it being re-developed into a state-of-the-art facility.

As you watch the cars being driven to their limit around the warehouse space, it gives you a real ‘boys with their toys’ feel - but at the same time culminates in showcasing some of the company’s best known and best loves cars.

Towards the end of the video you watch as the president and CEO of Aston Martin Andy Palmer drives onto the site to discover what’s been going on.
