BMW reveals revised 4 Series

BMW has pulled the covers of a refreshed version of its popular 4 Series.

Following its debut in 2013, the 4 Series has been an incredibly successful car for the German firm, with more than 400,000 units sold globally.

For 2017, BMW have treated it to a range of updates. Larger air intakes and LED headlights and taillights feature on the car’s exterior. Customers have the option of updating the headlights to ‘Icon’ LED units, which allow for superior night-time visibility.

In the cabin, controls for the air conditioning and audio systems have been given chrome surrounds, while the steering wheel is now wrapped in high-quality leather.

Three new upholstery colours join the existing range: Night Blue Dakota, Cognac Dakota and Ivory White Dakota – allowing for greater levels of personalisation.

However, the updates aren’t solely limited to aesthetics. The 4 Series now features stiffer suspension, more advanced damping and an improved steering set-up. BMW claims this provides the car with a more dynamic drive while reducing body roll and increasing stability at high speed.

Prices for the new BMW 4 Series start at £32,525 for the 420i model.
