Hyundai has revealed the pricing and specifications for its new i30 hatchback, which is due to go on sale on March 1.

Five specifications are available from launch: S, SE, SE Nav, Premium and Premium SE.

Prices start at £16,995 for the entry-level S model fitted with a 1.0-litre engine which produces 118bhp driven through a six-speed manual gearbox.

The top-of-the-line Premium SE, powered by a 1.6-litre, 109bhp diesel engine is set to cost £24,745.

Cars in SE trim are priced from £18,695, rising to £22,195 for those Premium specification cars.

Customers have the choice of one diesel and two petrol engines, with either a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch transmission available.

The entire i30 range will benefit from a wide array of standard safety equipment. This includes lane departure warning, forward collision warning, autonomous braking and hill start assist.

The level of standard equipment is also impressive, with S-specification cars gaining 15-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, DAB radio and Bluetooth connectivity.

SE cars receive larger 16-inch alloy wheels, a five-inch LCD touchscreen as well as rear parking assist and a rear view camera.
