Hyundai tease new N Concept RN30 ahead of Paris Motor Show launch

Hyundai has released a teaser image of its new N concept, the RN30, in the lead up to its official reveal at this year’s Paris Motor Show.

Based on the latest iteration of the i30 hatchback, the RN30 was developed in collaboration with Hyundai Motor’s Performance Development & High Performance Vehicle Division, Hyundai Motorsport and Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Centre.

According to the South Korean manufacturer, the N Concept RN30 was “born as a racing machine” and is set aside from the regular i30 by its “purposeful aerodynamic design and specialised high-performance technologies that deliver thrilling high-speed driving.

“The silhouette of the RN30 is unmistakably inherited from the clean and cohesive lines of the New Generation Hyundai i30, but with a lower, wider stance to enable greater stability during high speed driving and cornering.”

While we can only guess as to what the RN30 will be capable of performance-wise when the production version is announced, it will likely be pitched as a rival to the Seat Leon Cupra and the Volkswagen Golf GTI

The Hyundai N Concept RN30 will debut during next Thursday’s press preview day, next to the new i30 and i10 models.

The 2016 Paris Motor Show opens to the public on October 1 and ends on October 16.
