A host of star cars are set to feature at this year’s Concours of Elegance, including the first Bentley to race at Le Mans.

An Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato will also appear alongside the famous Le Mans racer at the event, which takes place at Hampton Court Palace from September 1 to 3.

Vehicles from throughout history are due to be displayed and paraded at the extravaganza, showcasing a timeline of cars throughout history.

The Le Mans-racing Bentley 3 Litre was built in 1922 and is chassis no 141. A year after its creation it was entered into the first Le Mans 24 Hours race, where it finished in fourth.

At the other end of the scale sits the 2016 Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato. One of just 99 ever built, it is based upon the V12-powered Vanquish but features a custom-made carbon-fibre body created by Italian coachbuilders Zagato.

The Concours will feature other legendary road and racing cars, including a 1958 Maserati 300S, raced by Sir Stirling Moss to two race victories in the 1950s.

A range of other cars from manufacturers such as Alfa Romeo, Ferrari and Bugatti will also be making an appearance.

One of the earlier models due to be showcased is the 1903 Panhard-Levassor, a car that has been owned by the same family since new.

Tickets for the event are available now.
