Infiniti to debut new InTouch connectivity software on Q60 sports coupe

Infiniti’s new Q60 sports coupe will feature an all-new infotainment system – InTouch Services.

The infotainment services, which the Japanese manufacturer is releasing in order to remain competitive with advanced rivals, looks to improve the levels of comfort and safety offered by its cars.

Infiniti believe that the system is in keeping with its strategy “towards customer-centric and premium mobility services that give confidence to the driver.”

The InTouch system incorporates more than 250 programmable settings for the car’s drive, including steering, engine and suspension. Even the seat position, navigation and air conditioning settings are controlled by the technology.

In conjunction with the system, users will be able to download a smartphone app which will allow them to control certain elements of their car remotely.

Some other features that are included in the technology are breakdown assistance calling, as well as a vehicle tracking device that can make recovering a vehicle following a theft easier. Drivers will be able to flash the car’s headlights or sound the horn remotely, too.

The base-level Q60 sports coupe is due to go on sale in the UK in October, with prices starting at £33,990. In this specification, the Q60 will come with a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, which produces 205bhp.

Prices for the top-spec mode, which is powered by a 3.0-litre, twin-turbocharged V6 producing 395bhp, are due to be announced at the upcoming 2016 Paris Motor Show.
