Mercedes-Benz completes E-Class line-up with Cabriolet

Mercedes has introduced a fifth and final model to its E-Class family – the Cabriolet.

The new model is the culmination of a renewal of the E-Class range, and offers four seats in a stylish and raked body. The fabric soft-top – available in dark brown, dark blue, dark red or black – works to complement the car’s extensive range of exterior colours.

The roof can also be raised or lowered in just 20 seconds when the car is travelling at speeds of up to 31mph.

While it shares many styling touches with its coupe sibling, the Cabriolet’s overall ride height has been lowered by 15 millimetres to emphasise its sporty appearance, with 19-inch alloy wheels featuring as standard

Two 12.3-inch displays under a single sheet of glass take pride of place on the dash, while the E-Class Cabriolet comes with a seven-inch colour display cluster, as well as a central 8.4-inch display, as standard.

The engines are likely to mirror those found in the Coupe.

Britta Seeger, member of the board of management at Daimler AG, said: “The passion for extraordinary vehicles, which we share with our customers, is reflected in our new E-Class Cabriolet in a unique way. It is a car that lets people enjoy comfort and luxury in the open air."
