Mini have revealed its most powerful Clubman ever – the John Cooper Works Clubman.

Powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine, the JCW Clubman produces 230bhp and 540Nm torque. This enables it to reach 62mph in just 6.3 seconds and carry on to a top speed of 148mph.

The JCW Clubman is also fitted with Mini’s ‘ALL4’ all-wheel-drive system, which allows for greater traction in all conditions.

Despite its performance, the Clubman JCW is still capable of returning respectable economy figures. It emits just 154g/km CO2, and can achieve up to 41.5mpg on a combined cycle.

The car still retains the usable size of the vehicle on which it is based, meaning that as well as offering excellent performance it is capable of transporting a good amount of items.

The exterior of the car has also been revised, reflecting the sporting nature of the vehicle. As such, the bumpers at both the front and rear of the car have been revised, allowing for more air to be directed towards the engine. A large wing sits at the back of the car, too.

The car can be specified in a colour unique to John Cooper Works cars – ‘Rebel Green’. All four alloys are of a design specific to the car as well.

Inside, sports seats have been fitted along with a full alcantara headliner. Standard equipment includes Bluetooth connectivity and satellite navigation.

The Mini John Cooper Works Clubman is due to be officially revealed at the upcoming Paris Motor Show, though cars are available to order now. Prices start at £29,345 for cars fitted with a six-speed manual, rising to £30,945 for the automatic.
