Mini reveals pricing and specs of new John Cooper Works Clubman

Mini has announced pricing and specifications for its new John Cooper Works Clubman – the most powerful Clubman to date.

Producing 231bhp and 350Nm of torque, the JCW Clubman’s 2.0-litre petrol engine allows the car to sprint to 60mph in just 6.2 seconds and hit a top speed of 148mph.

Prices start from £29,345, while the optional eight-speed automatic transmission commands a £1,600 premium, and standard equipment includes sports suspension and the brand’s own all-wheel-drive system. Lurking behind the wheels are Brembo four-piston brake calipers.

Dynamic stability control is included too, along with dynamic traction control. The two systems combine to improve grip in low-traction conditions such as snow or rain.

Officially, the car will return 38.2mpg on the combined cycle and emit carbon dioxide at a rate of 168g/km. However, these figures are improved by the automatic gearbox, which permits 41.5mpg and 154g/km CO2 emissions.

On the outside, the JCW is set apart by its bespoke front bumper, rear spoiler and rear apron. Inside, sports seats and Alcantara headlining are featured, along with and a host of standard equipment. Satellite navigation, cruise control and Bluetooth connectivity are all included.

The John Cooper Works Clubman is available in Mini dealerships now.
