Mitsubishi adds to Outlander range with Keiko specification

Mitsubishi has added to its popular Outlander SUV range with a new special edition car – the Keiko.

Priced from £27,999, the Outlander Keiko is based on the current Outlander 3, which sits just below the top-specification Outlander 4.

Leather seats and Mitsubishi’s Global Navigation System are included in the Keiko spec – with both an optional extra on the Outlander 3.

The car’s infotainment system includes satellite navigation, DAB digital radio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. All of these functions are accessed via a 6.5-inch LCD touchscreen display.

Keiko vehicles also benefit from dual-zone climate control, keyless start and privacy glass. The car’s exterior is also beefed-up with 18-inch alloy wheels, while parking has been made easier with rear sensors.

Powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine, the seven-seater SUV can be specified with either an automatic or six-speed manual transmission. With 145bhp and 380Nm of torque on offer, the Keiko manages the dash to 60mph in 10 seconds and can hit a top speed of 124mph.

In terms of fuel economy, Mitsubishi claims that manual models can return 53.3mpg and emit 139g/km of CO2, while the figures for automatic cars are slightly lower at 48.7mpg and 154g/km CO2.

Available with a five-year, 62,500-mile warranty, the Keiko can also be specified with a £700 Mitsubishi Service Plan which covers the cost of scheduled maintenance for the first three years of ownership.
