New 200mph plus Flying Spur W12 S revealed by Bentley

Bentley has pulled the covers off its new Flying Spur W12 S, its first four-door capable of breaking 200mph.

The car is powered by a 6.0-litre, twin-turbo W12 that produces 626bhp and 820Nm of torque – which is sent to all four-wheels. This enables the Bentley to complete the dash from 0-60mph in just 4.2 seconds, and gives it a top speed of 202mph.

Wolfgang Dürheimer, chairman and chief executive of Bentley Motors, said: “The Flying Spur W12 S is the ultimate luxury performance sedan.

“It combines sharper dynamics and an increase in power from our renowned W12 engine with a more assertive exterior and interior design for customers looking for a Flying Spur with extra attitude.”

The exterior features a number of updates to set it aside from the regular Flying Spur. These include a black finish on the radiator grille and headlight surrounds, a new rear diffuser and a carbon fibre veneer that can be specified as an option.

The car comes with black 21-inch, seven-spoke alloys as standard, although customers can choose 21-inch Sports five-spoke alloys finished in gloss black or a dark tint as an optional extra.

Inside, the fascia and waistrails feature a black engine-spin finish, and a W12 S emblem adorns the headrest and treadplates. A Sport Plus steering wheel is also included, which features knurled gearshift paddles as standard. To allow for internet connectivity while on the move, the Flying Spur also features a WiFi hotspot.

Customer deliveries for the first examples of the new Flying Spur W12 S will begin towards the end of 2016.
