New Citroen C3 given UK debut in Westfield Stratford City

Citroen’s all-new C3 supermini has been unveiled for the first time in the UK on a pop-up stand in London’s Westfield Stratford City.

Although given its first international debut at the Paris Motor Show, this is the first time that the UK public has been allowed an up-close look at the eagerly-anticipated car.

Citroen was not only showcasing the new C3, but the car’s new ConnectedCAM technology. This uses an on-board camera to take photos or record video while the driver is up and running, which can then be posted on social media or shared with friends and family

The stand in Westfield Stratford City was designed around Citroen’s ‘La Maison’ design idea, which also appeared at the Paris Motor Show. It was intended to give consumers an idea of the comfort that can be experienced in a new Citroen car.

The all-new C3 features quirky styling, as well as Airbump panels that were first seen on the Cactus crossover.

Chris Cheetham, marketing director for Citroen UK, said: “The Citroen stand is a fantastic opportunity for us to premiere new C3 in the UK and showcase the latest technological advancements, such as the revolutionary ConnectedCAM and the Citroen advanced comfort programme. Our stand at Westfield Stratford City, which is part of our 15-month partnership, enables us to meet our customers and explore our brand.”

Paul Buttigieg, director of shopping centre management for Westfield Europe, said: “Westfield is very proud to partner with global brand Citroen in the first of what will be a series of events, installations and UK-first customer experiences.”
