Nissan unveils limited-edition Navara

Nissan has unveiled a new special-edition version of its popular Navara pick-up truck at the Brussels Motor Show.

Called Trek -1°, which refers to the longitude of the Navarre desert in Spain, the limited- edition car has a range of additional equipment to distinguish it from top-spec Tekna cars.

Just 1,500 examples will be produced, with each one given black sport styling bars behind the cab, black sidebars and two forward-facing LED spot lamps. A new load bed cover and black 18-inch alloy wheels help complete the look.

Customers will be able to pick from two colours – Pearlescent White and Black Metallic – as well as two powertrain options. Standard cars receive a 158bhp version of the Navara’s 2.3-litre diesel engine, though there is the option of upgrading this up to a more powerful 187bhp option. Both send their power to all four wheels through a seven-speed automatic transmission.

Inside, the -1° receives the high level of equipment found on top-spec Tekna cars. This includes satellite navigation, rear parking sensors and a 360-degree manoeuvring camera. Heated seats, a powered sunroof and leather upholstery can all be specified at additional cost.

The Navara Trek -1 will go on sale in the UK during the next few weeks, while prices are expected to start at around £32,000.
