Pair of pooches crash their owner’s car into a Walmart

After a car crashed into a Walmart store in Wayne County, West Virginia, on Friday, witnesses hurried over to make sure the vehicle’s occupants were okay.

However, while they might have been happy to find no one was hurt, they were shocked to find that the drivers were, in fact, dogs.

The incident happened after an elderly woman – thought to be in her late 70s – left her two four-legged friends in the car while she shopped.

As it was hot outside, she left the vehicle running with the air conditioning turned on to keep the pups cool.

Amazingly, one of the dogs managed to knock the car into gear causing it to roll forward until it crashed into the store.

Wayne County 911 reported that a dispatcher recorded the following notes from a responding officer: “Two dogs in the car. One knocked car out of gear. Other rolled window down."

Residents were obviously surprised to hear of the incident. One shopper, Dakota Davis, said WSAZ news station: “It's not something you hear every day, but I guess it is Wayne County.”

Thankfully, neither the car nor the building were badly damaged, and the woman was able to drive home later that day.
