Range Rover Reborn set to make debut at Salon Retromobile 2017

Land Rover Classic’s restoration programme for the iconic Range Rover is set to showcase its first completed car at this month’s Salon Retromobile event in Paris.

The 1978 Range Rover has been extensively restored, and features a completely reconditioned V8 engine that produces 132bhp and 251Nm of torque. It’s finished in ‘Bahama Gold’, and uses Land Rover Classic original parts. Prices for this, and similar vehicles, start at £135,000.

Tim Hannig, director at Jaguar Land Rover Classic, said: “Range Rover Reborn is another showcase of our dedicated in-house engineering expertise. It underscores our commitment to nurturing the rich heritage of Land Rover, and is a rare opportunity for customers to own a valuable and genuinely collectible automotive icon.

“It is a wonderful way to preserve the much-sought-after three-door Range Rover from the 1970s, from period-correct colour ways to interior trim and accessories.”

Jaguar Land Rover Classic will also be displaying a completely restored Jaguar E-Type Fixed Head Coupe. This features reverse-engineered body panels which have been manufactured in-house, as well its original 3.8-litre engine.

Salon Retromobile takes place from February 8 to 12 in the Paris Expo Porte De Versailles.
