Rolls-Royce unveil 2017 Spring/Summer collection

Luxury British car maker Rolls-Royce has revealed three special versions of its Dawn convertible as part of the House of Rolls-Royce’s Spring/Summer 2017 Couture collection.

The three drop-tops – called “Dawn – Inspired by Fashion” – use a special Andalucian White shade for the exterior, while each one features a roof finished in a choice of Mugello Red, Cobalto Blue or Mandarin. These paint colours are mirrored by accents in the cabin, which use the same shade.

These three colours will set the tone for the 2017 Spring/Summer collection, according to the manufacturer.

Giles Taylor, director of design for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, said: “Our clients are the very arbiters of fashion, tastemakers who sit in the front row of the Couture shows, themselves influencing evolving trends.

“To them, the commissioning of fine luxury objects represents a deeply-involving curatorial process – with different forms of luxury design, craft and execution serving as inspiration for the other. ‘Dawn – Inspired by Fashion’ beautifully expresses the notion that inspiration for truly personal objects is drawn from the passions, tastes and lifestyle of its patron.”

All three cars will feature the same Arctic White and Black interior colour scheme, though each one will incorporate accents that match the colour of the roof.

The dashboard is finished in Piano White, with embedded aluminium particles providing an eye-catching addition to the cabin. The lacquering process for this area alone took nine days to finish.

Customers will be able to specify and commission their own vehicles from November.
