The new Skoda Octavia is now on sale in the UK, with prices starting at £17,055 for the entry-level 1.0-litre petrol hatch.
This price will move up to £30,085 for the range topping 2.0-litre, four-wheel-drive diesel estate in Laurin & Klement specification.
Other trim levels include SE, SE Technology and SE L. Prices for an SE-specification Octavia start at £18,360 for the hatch and £19,560 for the estate. An SE Technology-specification hatch costs from £20,450, while the estate is priced from £21,650. Prices for the SE L hatch start at £21,405, and £22,605 for the estate.
A top-specification Laurin & Klement hatch with the 2.0-litre diesel engine will cost from £27,435.
The new Octavia will be offered with a choice of six new engines – three petrols and three diesels. The petrol range consists of a 1.0-litre 113bhp unit, as well as a 1.4-litre 148bhp unit and a 2.0-litre engine with 227bhp.
The diesel range consists of a 1.6-litre unit with 113bhp and a 2.0-litre engine with a choice of 148bhp or 182bhp.
The 182bhp diesel engine will feature on Octavia vRS and Scout models, while the top-line petrol only comes with the vRS.
Skoda has said that order books for the Octavia vRS and Scout models – which are priced at £25,130 and £26,525 respectively – won’t open until the end of March.
The Octavia range now features a revised front-end design features that incorporates the new quad-headlight layout. Cars in SE L, Laurin & Klement, Scout and vRS specifications gain full LED headlights as standard.
Skoda has also improved the standard equipment available across the Octavia range. Alloy wheels, touchscreen infotainment systems, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, LED rear lights, air conditioning and XDS electronic differential lock and automatic post-collision braking are now standard on all models.
