Toyota GT86 Orange Edition kicks off new Club Series model line

Toyota has pulled the covers off its new GT86 Orange Edition – a limited-run version of the marque’s popular sports car.

As the first model in the the new GT86 Club Series, the Orange Edition has been treated to a range of unique aesthetic tweaks.

These include a dashing Solar Orange paint job, as well as contrasting black paint on the rear spoiler lip and wing mirrors. Snazzy Anthracite 17-inch alloy wheels have also been fitted for added flair.

Changes aren’t limited to the exterior, either. The cabin gains heated sports seats as standard, which are upholstered in smart-looking black leather and Alcantara. Keeping with the theme of the car, contrasting orange stitching is also prevalent throughout the interior.

Toyota’s Touch 2 multimedia system is another standard feature, and includes DAB radio and Bluetooth connectivity.

Mechanically, the Orange Edition benefits from a limited-slip differential as well as performance brake pads and discs for improved stopping power.

Unfortunately, Toyota hasn’t treated the GT86 Orange Edition to any additional power. This means it has the same 2.0-litre four-cylinder boxer engine developing 197bhp and 205Nm of torque. The dash from 0-60mph will be dealt with in 7.4 seconds, and the GT86 will carry on to a top speed of 140mph.

The GT86 Orange Edition is now on sale, and bears a price tag of £28,800 for the six-speed manual and £30,270 for the six-speed automatic.
