The Accord was Honda’s entry into the family car market for more than three decades, eventually being withdrawn from UK sale in 2015. It was a rival to the Toyota Avensis, Ford Mondeo and Renault Laguna, and was successful in the British Touring Car Championship.
Early editions are slowly joining the ranks of classic cars, but most on the used market are much more recent. It was sold mostly as a saloon, although a hatchback was also available from 1998 to 2003, before being replaced in the range by a vast and hugely practical estate. The cabin is comfortable and spacious, and it represents a great choice for those who regularly hit the motorway for long-distance journeys.
You can find both petrol and diesel models, with diesels making up the lion’s share of models manufactured after 2003. The Accord is known for running as reliably as a Swiss watch if given the proper care and maintenance - there are stories from overseas of some covering more than a million miles.
The Accord sold strongly, so you can find them all over the UK from both private sellers and motor traders with AutoVolo.
